Danish Pebbernodder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. lard
    1 c. molasses
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. each cloves, ginger and nutmeg
Preparation
    Bring to boil the lard and molasses and cool.
    Add the sugar and eggs.
    Sift together dry ingredients of flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and nutmeg.
    Add to boiled mixture. Chill.
    Roll into strips like a thick pencil; cut in 1/4 inch chunks.
    Scatter on cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 until golden brown.
    Use very little flour to roll them in.
    Do not let the bits touch each other on the baking pan.
