Dutch Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. apples, thinly sliced
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs (mix with fork)
    3/4 c. vegetable oil
    2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Pour sugar over apples and let stand 1/2 hour.
    Sift all dry ingredients, then sift again into apple bowl.
    Add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.
    Spread in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes. May be served with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
