Red Beet Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
1 1/2 c. drained, mashed, cooked beets
2 sq. (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream thoroughly sugar and eggs in a large bowl of mixer.
Add oil, beets and melted chocolate; blend well.
Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Add to beet mixture; mix well.
Pour into 2 well-greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.
Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cool.
Ice with Creamy Chocolate Frosting.
