Nutmeg Feather Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream together butter and shortening; gradually add sugar, creaming until light.
    Add vanilla; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Add to creamed mixture; alternate with buttermilk, beating well.
    Pour creamed mixture into greased and floured 8 x 8-inch pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Cool completely in pan.
