Sausage Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage, pork (hot or regular)
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
    1/2 c. Swiss cheese, grated
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 tsp. liquid hot pepper sauce (do not use if hot sausage is used)
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
    2 c. buttermilk pancake mix or biscuit mix
    2/3 c. milk
    1/4 c. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Cook
    sausage
    and
    onion
    over
    low heat until meat is browned.
    Drain.
    Add
    cheese,
    egg,
    liquid hot pepper sauce, salt and parsley.
    Make a dough by mixing the biscuit mix with the milk
    and mayonnaise.
    This makes a sticky dough.\tSpread half of\tthe
    dough
    over the bottom of a well-greased 8-inch square pan.
    Cover the dough with the sausage mixture.
    Spread the remaining
    dough
    over the sausage mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for
    25 minutes
    or
    until done.
    (Cut into squares and serve hot.) Yields
    9
    servings.

    good for breakfast or a light lunch.
    Can be made in advance and frozen.
