Roz'S Lasagna - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. lasagna noodles
1 lb. Italian sausage
1 lb. ground beef
3 cloves garlic
1 medium onion, minced
1 (28 oz.) can Italian tomatoes, drained
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 pinch baking soda
1/2 tsp. basil
10 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
10 oz. Ricotta cheese
3/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation

Cook lasagna pasta in boiling salted water following directions on package.
Drain, but do not rinse in cold water. Brown sausage, beef, onion and garlic.
Drain drippings.
Add tomatoes, breaking them up with wooden spoon.
Add tomato paste, basil and baking soda.
Add meat; stir well.
Cook over low heat for 40 minutes or until sauce thickens.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Lightly grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
Pour 3/4 cup sauce in baking dish.
Top with 1/3 of noodles.
Dot with 1/2 Ricotta and Mozzarella.
Top with more sauce; add remaining pasta.
Top with remaining sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until well heated.
Remove from oven and serve. Serves six.
