Ingredients

1/2 c. oleo
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Cream together oleo, sugar, egg, oil and vanilla.
Sift together remaining ingredients and fold into creamed mix, a little at a time.
Drop on an ungreased cookie sheet by teaspoon. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.
Add pecan to center of each cookie.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
