Apple-Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. mace
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. chopped apples
2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix and sift flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and mace.
Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture.
Stir in vanilla, apples and walnuts.
Batter will be stiff.
Spoon into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake in moderately slow 325\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours.
Let cool in pan on rack for 10 minutes.
Remove cake from pan; place right side up on rack to complete cooling.
