Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. round or chuck steak
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1 c. canned tomatoes
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 Tbsp. fat
1 small onion, chopped
Preparation

Cut steak 1 to 2 inches thick.
Mix flour, salt and pepper thoroughly.
Pound into steak.
Brown meat and onion in hot fat. Add tomatoes.
Cover; cook over low heat, or bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) until tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
