Macaroon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
14 chopped dates
14 saltine crackers
3 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. almond or vanilla flavoring
Preparation

Crush crackers and add 1/2 cup sugar, nuts and dates.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Add the sugar and baking powder and mix well.
Fold this egg white mixture into the crackers, dates, etc. Add flavoring and pour into a buttered pie plate.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
