Festive Fruit Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice (don't defrost)
    3/4 c. coconut
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. confectioners sugar
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. soft butter
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and brown and white sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add vanilla and egg.
    Add 1/2 cup orange juice, reserving remaining for frosting.
    Stir until well blended. Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt together.
    Add to orange mixture, stirring until smooth. Add coconut and nuts.
    Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 9 to 11 minutes. Remove to cooling rack.
    Blend confectioners sugar with butter and reserved orange concentrate.
    Frost the hot cookies.
