Vanilla Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch, dissolved in a small amount of the milk
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Bring milk to a boil.
    Add sugar, dissolved cornstarch and egg.
    Cook 1 minute, stirring until thickened.
    Add vanilla. Cool.
    Ladle over rice pudding.
    Serves 8.
