Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. self-rising flour
    2 c. self-rising cornmeal
    1 large chopped onion
    2 large chopped jalapeno peppers
    2 eggs
    buttermilk to make a loose batter
    1/4 c. hot oil
    8 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 can cream-style corn
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Heat oil in large iron skillet; set aside.
    Mix in a large bowl: cornmeal, flour, eggs, creamed corn, grated cheese, hot peppers, onion and buttermilk to make the loose batter.
    Add hot oil.
    Sprinkle skillet with cornmeal.
    Pour batter into skillet.
    Bake until brown on top.
    Cool.
    Loosen edge with knife.
