Cream Cheese Thumbprint - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    3 oz. cream cheese
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 2/3 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Shape into balls.
    Roll in slightly beaten egg whites, then in finely chopped nuts.
    Place on greased cookie sheet and press thumb into dough to make slight indentation.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    When cool, fill dent with frosting, cherries or jelly.
