Meatball Mushroom Sandwiches - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. Italian sausage (casing removed)
1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can Campbell's golden mushroom soup
1/2 c. water
4 long hard rolls (each 8 inches long), split lengthwise
Preparation

In medium bowl, combine beef, sausage, bread crumbs, egg and oregano.
Mix lightly, but well.
Shape into 16 (1 1/4-inch) meatballs.
In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, in hot oil, cook meatballs 10 minutes or until browned on all sides.
Spoon off fat. Stir in soup and water.
Heat to boiling.
Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 10 minutes until meatballs are thoroughly cooked, stirring occasionally.
Spoon 4 meatballs and about 1/4 cup of the sauce onto each roll.
Makes 4 servings.
