Yeast Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
2 large yeast cakes
flour (about 2 1/2 sifters full)
Preparation

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water, then add sugar and shortening.
Add salt and flour.
Knead until smooth, then put back in bowl and grease the top.
Let rise until double, then knead on bread board.
Put into loaf pans; grease the top.
Let rise to fill the pan.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes, or until loaves sound hollow when knocked.
