Stuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/4 c. rice, parboiled 5 minutes
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 small clove garlic, diced
    1 large head cabbage
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1( 8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Saute onion and garlic.
    Mix thoroughly in bowl with meat, rice, egg, salt and pepper; set aside.
    Boil head of cabbage in salted water until leaves can be cut away from center core, one at a time.
    Cook until leaves are soft and pliable.
    Drain and cool to touch.
    Strip down core, which runs down back of leaf.
