Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. grated carrots
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    1 c. raisins
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    pinch of salt
    1 1/3 c. cold water
    2 tsp. shortening-oleo
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/3 tsp. cloves
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except flour and soda,
    in pan and boil for 5 minutes.
    Cool.
    Add flour and soda.
    Pour into a greased 8 x 11-inch cake pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
