Old-Fashioned Egg Nog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. whipping cream
    salt to taste
    ground nutmeg
    cinnamon sticks
Preparation
    Separate eggs and beat yolks until blended.
    Slowly add 1/4 cup sugar and beat at high speed.
    Stir in milk, vanilla and salt. Chill.
    Whip cream and set aside.
    In a large bowl beat egg whites until light peaks form.
    Add 1/4 cup sugar and beat to stiff peaks.
    Fold in yolk mixture and whipped cream into egg whites.
    Serve immediately.
    Garnish with nutmeg and cinnamon sticks.
    Makes 7 (8 ounce) servings.
