Date Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 c. hot water
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    5 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 1/2 c. chopped dates
Preparation
    Boil brown sugar, hot water and stick of butter for 5 minutes. Pour in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Mix 3 tablespoons butter and sugar. Add milk, flour and baking powder and mix well.
    Add nuts and dates, pour batter over the mixture in pan.
    Bake for 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
