Quick And Easy Date-Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. hot water
    1/2 pkg. chopped dates
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. melted margarine
    1 1/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Measure out 3/4 cup hot water; add chopped dates.
    Set aside. Combine all other ingredients in a large bowl.
    Add hot water and dates, mixing well.
    Pour into loaf pan.
    Cook at 350\u00b0 about 45 minutes.
    Slice while warm and serve with cream cheese.
