Baked Apple Cuplets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    2/3 c. flour
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 slightly beaten egg
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    6 baking apples
Preparation
    Pare and core 6 baking apples.
    Combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
    Roll apples in mixture.
    Place them in buttered custard dishes.
    Spoon remaining cinnamon-sugar in centers of apples.
    Sift together 2/3 cup flour, 2/3 cup sugar, 1/4 teaspoon baking powder and 1/8 teaspoon salt.
    Set aside. Combine 1 slightly beaten egg, 3 tablespoons melted butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Add flour mixture.
    Mix well.
    Place 2 tablespoons of batter over each apple.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
