Baked Sliced Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large baking potatoes
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    thyme
Preparation
    Cut the potatoes into 1/4 inch thick slices.
    Place them in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
    Melt the butter and mix with the oil. Pour this over the potatoes.
    Stir in the onions and salt. Sprinkle with thyme.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until the potatoes are brown on the edges.
    Serve immediately.
