"Old Buckeye" Pound Cake(Easy, Delicious And All Done With The Mixer) - cooking recipe

1 c. butter or oleo
1 2/3 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 c. cake flour
1 tsp. mace
Preparation

Cream together butter or oleo and sugar. Beat eggs into this mixture, one at a time. Sift in a mixture of flour and mace and beat the batter until it is smooth. All beating may be done with the mixer, using slow speed when adding the flour mixture. Turn the batter into a buttered tube pan (I use Pam spray) and bake in a moderate oven for 1 hour. Cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or pour desired flavor of icing over the cake.
