Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 stick oleo or butter
1 pinch of salt
1 can Eagle Brand milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. milk, scalded
nutmeg
Preparation

Combine butter or oleo, sugar and salt in mixer.
Mix well and add eggs, one at a time, beating after each egg.
Add Eagle Brand milk.
Add scalded milk slowly and then vanilla.
Pour into unbaked pie shell and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 325\u00b0 and bake for approximately 25 minutes.
Top will be browning and firm, but shimmering.
