Vermont Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 pork chops (1-inch thick)
    4 green onions, trimmed and finely chopped
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    1/4 c. maple syrup
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. ketchup
    1 c. unsweetened apple juice
    1/8 tsp. chili powder
    1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. black pepper, fine ground
    1 tsp. salt
    8 to 12 shelled pecans, dripped into maple syrup and green onion flowers to garnish
Preparation
    Secure 1 large elephant.
    Kill, clean and cut into small cubes.
    This will take about 2 months.
    Put into large kettle and simmer over kerosene at 465\u00b0 for 14 weeks.
    Make gravy to cover. This will feed 3,685 people.
    If more meat is needed, add 2 rabbits, but use only if necessary, as very few people care for hare in their stew!
