Ingredients

3 eggs, separated
1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sifted cake flour
Preparation

Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Beat in sugar gradually.
Beat yolks until thick.
Fold into egg whites, then fold in vanilla, flour and salt.
Shape into 4 1/2-inch fingers on baking sheet.
Sprinkle with additional sugar and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Press together in pairs.
