Applesauce Pumpkin Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. canned pumpkin
    1 c. canned applesauce
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    4 eggs
    1 c. whipping cream
    1/4 c. light brown sugar
    1/4 c. milk
    1 deep dish pie shell
Preparation
    Combine pumpkin, applesauce, sugar and salt.
    Beat eggs and add to mixture.
    Scald the milk.
    Add 1/2 cup cream.
    Mix well with pumpkin mixture.
    Pour into shell.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
    Cool.
    Whip 1/2 cup cream for the top.
