Yum Yum Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. box raisins
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    1 heaping tsp. cinnamon
    1 heaping tsp. soda
    4 c. flour
    nuts or candied fruit (optional)
Preparation
    Put raisins, water, salt, sugar, Crisco and cinnamon in pan and bring to boil.
    Remove from heat and let cool.
    Add baking soda and flour; add nuts and, if desired, mixed fruit.
    Bake in 9 x 12-inch pan or floured 10-inch tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
