Grandma'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. buttermilk (room temperature)
    3 c. cake flour or 3 c. minus 6 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    6 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 2 (8-inch or 9-inch) round pans.
    Sift flour and cocoa three times.
    This is a must. Combine shortening, sugar, eggs and buttermilk.
    Mix well.
    Add dry ingredients to buttermilk mixture; add vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Pour evenly into cake pans and bake for 28 minutes.
    Cake is done when toothpick comes clean from center.
    Cool completely.
    Frost with your favorite icing.
