Butterscotch Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or oleo
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1 egg
    3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt over low heat the butter or oleo.
    Remove from heat. Stir in brown sugar and egg.
    Add flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Add nuts.
    Spread in well-greased 8-inch square pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cut bars while still warm.
