Ingredients

2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1/2 cup oleo
1 cup packed brown sugar
12 slices bread (may use Texas toast)
6 eggs
1-1/2 cups milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

In a small saucepan, combine corn syrup, oleo and brown sugar.
Simmer until syrupy.
Put in bottom of 9 x 13 baking pan. Lay slices of bread over syrup.
Beat eggs, milk, vanilla and salt.
Pour over bread.
Cover pan and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Uncover pan and bake for 45 minutes. Serve hot--can be reheated.
