Shredded Yams(Serving Size: 12) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. sweet potatoes, shredded
    4 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 c. corn syrup
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. pineapple or orange juice
Preparation
    Shred yams into a gallon of ice water with 1 tablespoon salt. Soak for a few minutes.
    Combine sugar, syrup and water.
    Cook until it forms a light syrup.
    Drain yams well.
    Place yams in a buttered 12 x 9 x 3-inch Pyrex dish.
    Pour juice over yams, then the syrup.
    Dot the top with 4 tablespoons butter or margarine. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until yams are translucent.
