Pecan Crispies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. butter
2 1/2 c. soft brown sugar
2 well beaten eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. whole pecans
Preparation

Cream the shortening and sugar thoroughly.
Add eggs and beat well.
Sift all dry ingredients and add them to the butter, sugar and egg mixture.
Stir in chopped nuts.
Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
Top each cookie with a whole pecan.
Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0
from 12 to 15 minutes.
Yields 5 dozen.
