Maw Maw'S No Fail Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 c. sugar
1 c. white Karo
2 beaten egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. water
pinch of salt
8 large marshmallows
2 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Bring the sugar, Karo syrup, water and salt to the soft ball stage and add 1 cup of mixture to 2 beaten egg whites along with the marshmallows.
Cool remainder of egg whites to hard ball stage.
Add remainder to egg whites mixture slowly, then add vanilla and pecans.
Beat slowly until mixture dulls, then spoon drops onto wax paper.
