Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. self-rising flour
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
2 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 c. Crisco
2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Sift all dry ingredients into a large bowl.
Cut in shortening.
Add buttermilk, then yeast.
Stir until thoroughly moistened.
Turn onto floured board and knead a minute or two.
Roll out to desired thickness and cut into rounds. Brush with melted butter and bake on ungreased pan at 400\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes, or lightly browned.
These freeze well.
