Muffins - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. sugar
5 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
7 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. vegetable oil
3/4 c. crushed pecans
1 c. fresh blueberries
4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening or Crisco butter
3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Sift flour once; measure and sift again with salt, soda and baking powder. Cut in the shortening; add milk gradually to form soft dough. Turn out on lightly floured board; roll out and cut with biscuit cutter. Bake in hot oven of 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
