Hard Candies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. Karo (light)
    1/2 c. water
    flavoring of choice
    mineral oil
Preparation
    Cover and bring to a boil.
    Remove cover and boil to 290\u00b0 Add flavoring and food coloring of choice.
    Pour on lightly oiled marble slab in small \"patties\".
