Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. soft butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
    Combine together dry ingredients and beat into the butter-sugar mixture alternately with milk.
    Beat only until smooth.
    Pour into greased 10 x 5 x 3-inch pan.
    Spoon cherry pie filling over batter. Sprinkle with sugar, if desired.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
