Bishop'S Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. sour milk
Preparation

Mix flour, sugar, salt and shortening, blending with fork. Save 3/4 cup of this mixture for top crumbs.
To remainder, add baking powder, soda, egg, sour milk and cinnamon.
Beat briskly until smooth.
Put into greased pan and scatter crumb mixture on top.
Bake 25 minutes in hot oven (400\u00b0).
Bake in loaf or 9 x 9-inch pan.
Serve with honey.
