Sausage And Grits Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. sausage
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 c. milk
1 c. grits
2 c. sharp cheese, grated
2 eggs, beaten
4 c. water
Preparation

Brown sausage until crumbly; add 1 cup water and simmer 10 minutes.
Drain and save liquid.
In saucepan add liquid, 3 cups water, salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil and stir in grits; cook 5 minutes.
(Set aside 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 cup sausage for topping.)
Add cheese, beaten eggs, milk and sausage.
Pour into buttered casserole dish.
Top with cheese and sausage.
Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
This can be prepared a day in advance and refrigerated until ready to cook.
