Macaroni And Tomato Bake - cooking recipe

2 c. elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes with liquid, cut up
1 small onion
1 tsp. sweet basil
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

In a bowl, combine macaroni, tomatoes, onion (minced fine), pepper, sweet basil and 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese.
Pour into greased 2-quart baking dish.
Dot with butter.
Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake 15 minutes longer.
