9 Day Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. shredded cabbage
    1 medium green pepper, chopped
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. salad oil
    1 c. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Stir together cabbage, onions, green pepper and sugar.
    Bring to a boil the salad oil, vinegar, celery seed, salt and 2 cups of sugar.
    Immediately pour this hot mixture over the cabbage mixture.
    Chill overnight before serving.
    Keep stored in refrigerator.
