Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. vegetable shortening
2 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs, separated
6 Tbsp. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla
6 ripe bananas, mashed
1 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Sift dry ingredients and mix well.
Add pecans.
Beat egg whites until stiff; add last. Pour into prepared loaf pans.
Bake at 325\u00b0 until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
