Honey Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. Texas honey
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. rum flavoring
    3 c. Texas pecan halves
Preparation
    Combine
    sugar,
    water
    and
    honey
    in a heavy saucepan, stirring to
    mix.
    Bring
    mixture
    to a boil (do not stir), and cook to
    soft ball stage (240\u00b0).
    Remove from heat; add flavorings, and cook to lukewarm.
    Beat with an electric mixer 2 to 3 minutes
    or
    until
    mixture turns creamy.
    Add pecans, stirring until
    coated.
    Drop
    by heaping teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let cool.
    Yields 3 1/4 cups.
