Pumpkin Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1/4 c. vegetable shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 can pumpkin
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix together dry ingredients.
Melt shortening, add brown sugar and stir.
Remove from heat.
Add pumpkin, add remaining ingredients and mix.
Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
Sift powdered sugar over bars.
Yield: 52 (1 1/2 inch square).
Carbohydrate .4 g, protein 1 g, fat 2 g, calories 52.
One serving = 1/2 fruit exchange, 1/2 fat exchange.
