Chocolate Chip Meringue Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. sugar
    6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until foamy; add salt and cream of tartar. Beat until stiff enough to hold peaks, but not dry.
    Add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition; fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
    Drop from teaspoon on ungreased heavy paper.
    Bake for 25 minutes at 300\u00b0.
    Remove from paper while warm.
