Refrigerator Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage
    1 large onion
    2 sweet pickles
    1 large carrot
    1 to 2 c. sugar, according to taste
    1 c. white vinegar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Shred cabbage.
    Grate onion, sweet pepper and carrot.
    Put into a bowl.
    Sprinkle sugar, salt and spices over all; mix well. Pour vinegar over and mix again.
    Place in covered container and let stand 24 hours.
    Will keep 3 weeks in a covered container.
