New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 oz. (3 strips) diced bacon
4 oz. diced Spanish onion
2 oz. diced celery
2 1/2 c. clam juice
1 lb. chopped clams
1/2 lb. diced (red) new potatoes
1 tsp. black pepper
1 pt. heavy cream
Preparation

In large pot, cook bacon until golden brown; add onion and celery and saute until soft and transparent.
Add clam juice, clams, potatoes and seasonings; cook until potatoes are tender. Slowly stir in cream; heat through but do not boil.
Serve hot with oyster crackers.
