Russian Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. diced beets
    2 c. cold boiled potatoes, diced
    mayonnaise to taste
    vinegar to taste
    sugar to taste
    1/2 c. cooked and finely diced ham
    shredded Swiss cheese
Preparation
    Mix beets and potatoes.
    Add mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar. Let stand a few hours.
    Just before serving, add the ham and cheese.
    Toss well and serve at once.
